Talent Call Turku visit week – Social Media

The week consisted of taking the families on visits to five different companies in Turku who needed their skills and to different recreational areas. The first started with a tour of the city center and meeting some officials.

For all scheduled visits, I had written out a tweet and had a document saved on my phone. Those were copied and pasted into twitter with some truly live tweets such as the one below. Overall, about half were planned and half were truly typed in real-time. Full tweet stream for the week can be seen here.

Talent Call Turku – promotions

I started working for Turku Science Park on Aug. 12, one week before Talent Call Turku winners were set to visit. I found that social media was heavily underused and there was no promotion plan for the upcoming week. I was given admin rights to the Turku Business Region social media channels. TBR is the marketing concept for area economic development under Turku Science Park.
